CHERYL LAROCHE Underground Railroad's Path to Freedom in the North Thursday, June 20, 6:00pm 46 Joy Street, Beacon Hill Lowell Lecture Series Presentation Free and open to the public Dr. LaRoche is a renowned archaeologist who brings new insights to the network of individuals and families in the northern US that comprised the Underground Railroad and led self-emancipated people to cities like Boston.

			AFRICAN MEETING HOUSE BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED A memorable celebration marked the rededication of the beautifully restored African Meeting House on Beacon Hill. Descendants of abolitionist giants and moving music performances, including Sweet Honey in the Rock, make taking a trip back to December 6, 2011 worthwhile. <more>
